Blooming Bath

  • Why Didn't OK! Think of That?

Not too long ago BuzzFeed listed the Blooming Bath for babies bathtub among its list of 36 ingenious baby items that you will want as a new parent. Now, OK! Magazine has taken that sentiment one step further by including the Blooming Bath in its list of “Wish We’d Thought of That Baby Products.”

In the story, OK! writer Kelly Brant touts her favorite list of “clever gadgets” that maker her job as a parent easier, adding that she wished she had come up with each of the products herself. Like we hear from many first-time parents, Kelly mentions how stressful bath time can be trying to keep baby comfortable and safe in the tub, all while also trying to get them clean.

She praised the Blooming Bath’s plush flower cushion that cradles baby and allows moms and dads to comfortably bathe their little ones. She also mentioned how “really, really cute” it is.

Curious what some of the other “Wish We’d Thought of That Baby Products” were included in the list? Here they are:

Boon’s Squirt – A baby food dispensing device that allows you to fill with pureed baby food and take on the go.

The Shade- An infant seat cover made by Imagine Baby that provides a 50+ UPF shield from the sun, as well as being moisture wicking.

NoseFrida- This handy device sucks all of the  snot out of a stuffed up baby’s nose.

The Blooming was recently reviewed by latina mom and blogger Evelyn who writes and shoots video reviews for her blog - Evesther, mama de 2. Evelyn lives in Southern California and recently featured the Blooming Bath on her website.

Evelyn sums up her experience using the Blooming Bath for bath time with her baby by saying, “En pocas palabras me encanta.” Translation: “In short, I love it!”

In the review, she also mentions how in the past she would have to use a towel or cloth to make baths in the sink more comfortable for both herself and baby, but that’s no longer needed with the comfortable (and adorable) Blooming Bath flower.

In addition to the review and video, Evelyn also included some absolutely adorable photos of her little one enjoying the turquoise Blooming Bath. See the full review and video here.

  • Blooming Bath Called Ingenious Baby Item

There are so many products out there that you can look at and say, “why didn’t I think of that.” Flip-flops with bottle openers on the soles, sauce-dispensing chop-sticks, the list goes on and on. When it comes to becoming a parent, there are hundreds of similar items that you might never have known you needed until baby comes along.

Case-in-point, the Blooming Bath for babies bathtub. The Blooming Bath was created by four dads whose goal was to create a more comfortable (and less scary) bathing experience for both parents and babies. Now, as we near almost 10,000 fans on our Facebook Page, one comment we hear over and over is, “Why wasn’t this around when my kids were babies?”

So it’s understandable that BuzzFeed recently acknowledged the Blooming Bath as one of 36 Ingenious Things You’ll Want as a New Parent.  Blooming Bath is joined by a wide range of high-tech and low-tech items that made the list. A few of our favorite high-tech items include a personal ultrasound machine that attaches to your smartphone and a baby pacifier that closes when dropped as an extra hygienic precaution. Other sensible low-tech products include onesie extenders to keep your kids from growing out of their clothes too quickly and a medicine dispensing sippy cup.

Read the entire list of ingenious things you need as a new parent and be prepared to say, “Why didn’t I think of that.”

  • What Color Blooming Bath Should we Make Next?

Blooming Bath wants to hear from you! More specifically, we want to hear what color you think the next Blooming Bath should be. As you likely already know, the Blooming Bath bathtub for babies currently comes in four adorable colors: canary yellow, hot pink, turquoise and ivory.

Lately we’ve been hearing from our biggest fans – YOU – and we've been hearing that you want to see the cutest and most comfortable baby bath come in a wider assortment of colors. We recently put the question on our Facebook Page so you can tell us what color the next Blooming Bath should be.

Purple? Green? Orange? What about camouflage? Visit our Facebook Page now and vote for your favorite, or leave us a comment. Lots of people are already giving us their input, which made us start thinking about colors and what we typically associate with different shades of the rainbow.

Here’s what we came up with –

Purple – Purple is often a color that is associated with luxury and royalty. The color stands for mystery, creativity and emotional balance. It’s also the color used for the Purple Heart award given to soldiers who exemplify bravery.

Some of our favorite purple blooms include: lilacs, violets, lavender and orchids.

Green – While sometimes associated with emotions like envy or jealously, green is more often associated with nature, growth and fertility. It’s also a color that is known to soothe the soul. A lime green color, in particular, signifies freshness.

Some of our favorite green blooms include: Green goddess calla lilies, viburnum and mini hydrangeas.

Orange – Bold orange colors are often thought of as re-energizing, warm and thoughtful. Orange tones are often times associated with the harvest season. Kids are also said to often be attracted to orange.

Some of our favorite orange blooms include: Gerber daisies, birds of paradise and tiger lilies.

Camouflage – While once reserved as a pattern for hunters and military, camouflage has crossed over to the mainstream and can be seen on everything from clothing to household goods. While there are no blooms yet that come in camoflauge, if you vote for it, you may soon see a camo Blooming Bath in stores near you.

  • Celebrate Spring With 20% off the Ivory Blooming Bath

Have you heard? Blooming Bath is celebrating spring with a special Blooming Bath sale. For a limited time, we are offering 20 percent off our ivory color Blooming Bath. To take advantage, simply use the code “spring20” at checkout.

The ivory color Blooming Bath for babies is a perfect gender-neutral color choice for both baby boys and girls and makes a great gift for parents who have decided not to find out the sex of their baby prior to delivery, which, according to recent statistics is just over 50 percent of people.

A Gallup Poll from 2007 found that the public is divided as to whether or not they would want to know the sex of their baby before hand. More than 6 in 10 American women ages 18-34 said that they would like to know the sex of the baby before it is born. Parents who already have children were also more likely to want to find out the gender of their child. Overall, 51 percent of Americans polled said that they would wait until the baby is born, while 47 percent said they wanted to be surprised.

If you are one of those in the majority who would like to be surprised, there are a number of good reasons to endure the suspense. Here are just a few:

    1. It makes the birth all that more exciting – When you’ve been waiting nine months to find out whether you are having a little prince or princess, the anticipation is all the better once you find out. Your friends and family members will also be more excited to take part in the birth.

    2. Your baby won't be typecast -  Especially when it comes to baby clothing, you won’t be inundated with a multitude of cute pink dresses (that your baby will probably never wear before growing out of them) or all blue attire for that matter.

    3. It’s fun to guess -   Not knowing your baby’s gender leaves open the chance for everyone to be able to test out their own wives tale or intuition on how to determine if your are carrying a boy or girl.

    4. You get to explore with fun colors- Not knowing means you can center your baby’s nursery theme and clothing around the entire rainbow of colors and not just pink and blue. It also means that your little one can get an adorable ivory Blooming Bath for babies at 20 percent off. Don’t forget to use the code “spring20” at checkout!
