It looks like it’s a turquoise Blooming Bath for Prince William and Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, who have welcomed a baby boy (and future prince to the British throne) into the family. The internet was buzzing with news of the arrival of the new price and paparazzi was on hand Tuesday as the trio emerged from the hospital in London and posed for photographers.
The proud parents were both (appropriately) dressed in blue – Kate in a blue dress with white polka dots and William in a blue dress shirt. Prince William joked with reporters about his son having his mother’s good looks as well as the baby having more hair than his old man.
For now, the child is still without a name and the pair have been quoted as saying that they are still working on it after having a proper chance to catch up with the newborn.
Other details have been released including the baby’s birth weight, which was 8 pounds, 6 ounces and his day of birth- Monday, July 22nd. The baby boy was welcomed into the world by the bells of Westminster Abbey, which chimed for three hours in honor of the country's new heir.
Another interesting factoid to come out of the royal birth is the amount the country is expected to earn due to the birth. Britain’s Center for Retail Research has estimated that the short-term economic windfall from the birth will total a whopping $383 million, which includes everything from the sales of official teacups, to an increase in beer and champagne being purchased.
Now that the new lad has been born, the fun part starts, watching all of the must-haves the new mum and dad get for their little prince. Might we recommend a luxurious Blooming Bath bathtub?
