  • Tips For Getting Baby to Sleep

We’ve always known that the Blooming Bath for babies is super comfortable, but more and more we are hearing (and seeing) from parents that our cozy baby bathtubs are so relaxing for baby, that they often fall asleep during bath time. See the above photo of little Ethan for the latest adorable example.

We know for new parents, getting baby to sleep through the night really is a dream come true. So besides bath time in a cozy, plush flower, what other things can parents try to get their babies to sleep after Goodnight Moon? Here are a few suggestions from

Avoid caffeine – You’re likely not giving your newborn coffee or soda quite yet, but moms who drink these caffeine-loaded drinks and then breastfeed their babies are inadvertently transferring some of that caffeine on to the little one whose up at 3 a.m. and won’t go back to sleep. Try cutting out caffeine from your diet to see if results in better sleep for baby.

Spa Treatment – After a relaxing bath in the Blooming Bath for babies, give your little one a bit of the spa treatment with a mini massage to help further relax her for bedtime. At least one study has shown that new babies who were given a massage at bedtime went to sleep more quickly and more soundly than those who did not.

Lighting – Experts recommend tapping into babies’ natural biological rhythms by mimicking natural light cycles. For instance, in the morning when it’s time to wake up, expose babies to light soon after awaking up by going outside or sitting near a sunny window. When the sun goes down in the evening, lower the lights in the rooms of your home using dimmer switches. This will help prepare baby for sleep far before it is time.

Temperature – Experts say the best temperature for babies to sleep at is in rooms between 65 and 70 degrees. Use a thermostat to set the correct temperature for baby, or adjust by using a fan or opening a window.

  • Baby Bath Toys For Splishing n Splashing

At Blooming Bath, we know all about how fun bath time with your baby can be, but sometimes it’s even more fun when you add a few baby bath toys into the mix.

Here is a look at some clever, cute and classic baby bath toy designs that you can try with your Blooming Bath for babies bathtub.

Dunck This 3-set of stackable ducks not only float, they also double as rinse cups for parents. Babies will also have fun pouring water from them and “swimming” them around in the tub.

Squirty Bath Puppets Add a little adventure to bath time with these adorable terry cloth bath puppets that squirt water. You can get a full cast of characters because the puppets come in sea dragon, alligator, seahorse and shark shapes.

Water Flutes Nothing is more relaxing than a bubble bath and some music right? What about when your child is the one making the music? When your baby and Blooming Bath graduate to the big tub, treat your toddler to these water flutes. The flutes can be filled with varying amounts of water to create different sounds. Song sheets are even included!

Rubber Ducky Bath time just wouldn’t be complete without a rubber ducky or two bobbing around. These days you can pretty much find a rubber ducky in any theme or color under the sun. Our favorite is still the classic yellow rubber ducky, it coordinates perfectly with the canary yellow Blooming Bath.

What are your favorite baby bath toys?

  • Blooming Bath for Babies Featured on Oklahoma Live!

Just before the Fourth of July, the Blooming Bath made a debt on KSBI’s Oklahoma Live morning show!

The show featured mom blogger Stephanie Clinton of who was sharing with the Oklahoma City viewing audience her favorite baby teething products.

As all of us who’ve gone through the teething process with our babies knows, it’s always a good idea to have a few go-to products on hand right around the three to four month mark when those chompers start appearing.

Along with sharing her favorite teething solutions (Mommy Bliss Gripe Water, Kids Relief Oral Gel and Kid’s Spry Tooth Gel with Xylitol) Stephanie just couldn’t resist showing off her canary colored Blooming Bath at the end of the segment.

“This is my favorite thing. I love this. Look at this cute thing!”

She went on to share how cozy the Blooming Bath for babies is, especially for new parents who worry about their new babies slipping and sliding around in the sink or tub.

The Blooming Bath is suitable for use with babies up to six months in the sink and then can also be used by infants who graduate onto the bigger tub, but still want the comfort and protection of Blooming Bath’s soft petals.

Stephanie said that as soon as the show was over her Blooming Bath was going to be sent to her friend with a six-week old. Stephanie, like many other parents we've talked to said she wished the Blooming Bath was around when her kids were babies.
