    courtesy

Mother’s Day is right around the corner. If you are looking for gift ideas for a new mom on your shopping list this year, then you’ve come to the right place.

Here are 5 suggestions for gifts that you may not have thought about, but that any new mom will appreciate.

    1. Someone Else Doing The Cooking New moms often don’t have enough time in the day to sleep, let alone cook a nutritious meal for their family. That’s why a gift certificate for prepared food delivered right to your home, like from Freshology, is a great idea. Maybe mom still wants to cook, but doesn’t have time to go to the store. Then look into Blue Apron, where all of the ingredients and recipes are mailed right to your door.

    2. Someone Else Doing The Cleaning Right up there with not having time to cook, new moms will also have a hard time finding time to clean. That’s why buying her home cleaning services from Homejoy or another housekeeping services will be a gift that she won’t be able to stop thanking you for.

    3. Mementos of Being A Mom Moms love jewelry and bragging about their new babies. Why not get mom a necklace engraved with baby’s initials on it, or a locket with a photo of her precious little one.

    4. Delivery Services And More Most new moms need a lot of stuff. And not just stuff for baby but stuff for her like lotion, snacks. You name it. That’s why a great gift for a new mom is an annual subscription to Amazon Prime. All orders an be shipped fast and for free. Amazon Prime subscriptions also include free streaming of movies and television shows. It’s a win-win gift.

    5. Bathe Essentials For new moms, bathing baby the first few times can be a bit stressful. They are just so tiny. Help mom (and baby) relax during bathtime by getting her a Blooming Bath for Babies bathtub.

    Happy Mother’s Day!

  • Florals Are A 2015 Nursery Decor Trend

In case you didn’t know it, flowers are officially one of the “in” trends for nursery décor in 2015! That’s according to Project Nursery. The crew over at the design site recently highlighted the 10 most popular trends for baby nursery decor in 2015.

There was a little bit of everything included in the list, from incorporating shades of gold into a room, to tribal patterns, to do-it-yourself wall hangings. But of course, our favorite trend mentioned was the last-but-not-least #10  trend of using “feminine florals” as the inspiration for your baby’s new room.

As the site says, flowers “are more relevant than ever.”

We couldn’t agree more. In fact, we’ve already seen lots of adorable flower-inspired décor used in baby rooms.

Project Nursery suggests incorporating flowers into the nursery by hanging floral wallpaper. And, while you’re tending to all of those blooms in your new nursery, we’d also like to suggest adding in a Blooming Bath for babies bathtub or a few Mini Bloom scrubbies into the mix. Since they come in variety of colors (including hot pink, canary yellow, turquoise) you can mix and match until your heart is content, or find the perfect shade of petals to go with your nursery’s color scheme.

Here are just a few of some of our favorite flower-inspired nursery designs that we hand-picked via Pinterest. Take some time to stop and enjoy the flowers!

  • Blooming Bath Receives The National Parenting Center's Seal of Approval

The coming of spring has also brought news that the Blooming Bath for babies bathtub has been selected to receive The National Parenting Center’s Seal of Approval!

Since 1989 The National Parenting Center has been providing parents with comprehensive parenting advice from a panel of experts in the field.

Each season the group puts out a report featuring the latest and greatest children's products that have been awarded with the Center’s Seal.

Products like the Blooming Bath are tested in a multi-step process over an eight-week period. Volunteer testers, made up of both parents and children, get the opportunity to play, build, read about and in our case, bath their babies, in the products being considered for the Seal. Volunteers then judge the results by gauging the reactions of the children and the quality of the product.

Blooming Bath is thrilled that our Blooming Bath for babies bath tub was found worthy of this great award.

That means the Blooming Bath for babies will be included in the Center’s spring report and featured through its search engine search site.

That’s exciting news considering 68 percent of mothers say they specifically look for The National Parenting Center’s Seal of Approval designation on the products they purchase.

Expect to see the Blooming Bath for babies bathtub included in The National Parenting Center’s spring seal of approval report.
