  • Now in pink!

Blooming Bath Baby Bath PinkDon't get us wrong. We love our blue and yellow Blooming Baths.

But you asked for it. And we're here to serve. So, by popular demand...

... and with no further ado ...

... OK, a little further ado. See, first we've got to tell you about how this all came to be.

We'd thought about making a pink version of the Blooming Bath to begin with. But we heard that the turquoise and yellow colors would be more likely to appeal to folks who don't know what sex their babies will be.

Maybe that's true. But as it turns out, a lot of your like the color pink — and not just for your little girls.

Pink is, after all, a decidedly happy color. And a baby of any gender looks unbelievably adorable plopped down in the middle of it.

So yes — when we wanted to revolutionize the baby bath tub industry, we listened to our instincts. But when it was time to add another style to the Blooming Bath line of baby bath products, we listened to you.

And with that we give you Blooming Bath pink.

  • Life is so Pinteresting...

    Are you all about Pinterest?

Honestly, we didn't know much about it.

Embarrassing right? Of course, we're supposed to be hip to all this social media stuff. But hey, don't judge us, OK? Starting a revolution against the bazillion-dollar baby bath tub industry ain't easy work. Sometimes it's all we can do to keep our Facebook status updated.

But then something happened. We were making the vanity rounds on Google when we noticed that we've been getting pinned a lot lately.

Seems Pinterest is a good place to let people know about all the cool stuff you've bumped into while surfing the Internet. And given that not every mommy-aged woman is pregnant all the time (well, we do have some Mormon friends in Utah who are trying, but that's another story...) a lot of people are using the site to register their interest in getting a Blooming Bath as a baby shower gift later on down the road.

So yes, by all means: Pin us! Like Andre The Giant at Wrestlemania 3. Like a Voodoo Doll. Like that guy from the Halloween movies.

    Pin us, people.

  • So. Blooming. Cute.

    So. Stinking. Cute.

Seriously, look at this kiddo. How happy is she?

We love getting photos from our ever-growing Blooming Bath family. And since we're a new and small (but growing!) company — in a pretty miserable economy, no less — we especially love it when folks post these pictures on their blogs for all the world to see.

And we super-espeically love it when people write stuff like this...

"When I first pulled up the website and saw the product, I thought to myself..."this is one of those fancy, yet totally unneccesary baby products." My husband happenned to be sitting with me and he agreed. But as I searched the website longer it hit me — this would have been PERFECT for trips to Grandma's house! See, I always had one of those plastic baby bathtubs, but Grandma didn't have one. Any time I needed to give Maggie a bath there when she was tiny it was SO hard! When I tried to give her a bath in the sink she was sliding all over the place so I had to hold her with one hand (which was still slippery!) and gosh was it hard to try to clean her with the other!"

    That's from

    And she wasn't done...

"Not only that, but then I got to thinking about how bath time used to be with Maggie, before she could sit up on her own. Giving Maggie a bath in one of those little plastic bathtubs WAS a challenge. I mean, where do you put the tub? I used to put ours in the big bathtub, but let's be honest--that's hard on your back! I put it on our bed when she was very tiny, but once she started splashing that didn't work anymore either!"

So, yeah... definitely not a fan of traditional baby bath tubs. But she likes Blooming Bath — and it's pretty clear that little Maggie does too.

(Did we mention how cute that kid is? Geeesh!)

  • How do you use your Blooming Bath?

We created Blooming Bath to give you a safe, comfortable (and absolutely adorable) alternative to traditional baby baths.

We expected that new parents would want one — and that grandparents would, too. We also figured that lots of people would get Blooming Bath as a baby shower gift.

And, of course, we expected all the oohs and aahs.

What we didn’t expect were many of the inventive ways that people are finding to use their Blooming Bath.

Some parents tell us their Blooming Bath isn’t just for baby bath time. Some use it as a comfy booster seat. Others say their kids love to wrestle with the loose-petaled pillow. Many are using it as a bath pillow (and not just for their kids!)

  • For baby boy with cerebral palsy, Blooming Bath works "fantastically"

At almost 17 month old, little Carsyn Halstead was still not able to hold himself upright.

“That definitely made it tough to bathe him in a tub or a sink,” said Sarah Halstead, whose youngest son has cerebral palsy and lobar holoprosencephaly. “And even in a baby bath tub he’d always just slip down and it was really rough.”

    Enter Blooming Bath.

“It worked fantastically,” said Halstead, who blogs at and “We’ve been using it in the sink and we’ve also been using it inside a regular tub. It gives him some extra cushion so that he’s not flailing around.”

And that’s made bath time a lot more fun for everyone.

“Now he gets to take a bath with his big brother,” Halstead said. “They have such a fun time together — and I don’t have to hold him up the whole time.”

  • Pregnancy and Newborn Magazine loves Blooming Bath

Recently Pregnancy and Newborn Magazine contacted us and asked us to send a sample of our Blooming Bath baby bath to one of their mom reviewers.  We jumped at the chance to have another real mom put Blooming Bath to the test.

No surprise to us, she loved it.  Read her baby bath review here.

  • Hot bloggity blog! High praise for Blooming Bath

"The perfect baby shower gift for the mom that has everything."

No. We didn't pay the awesome people at Today's Woman Blog to say that. And if we had paid them, we can assure you, we would have asked them to say something that doesn't sound like something we did pay them to say.

    See? Logic.

But we digress. The point is that they love us, they really love us.

"Blooming Bath is simply adorable. Who wouldn’t want to bathe their baby in a sunflower?" Today's Woman wrote.

    See what we mean?

And you know what? They're not alone. Across the momma-blogosphere, people are gushing over our safe, comfortable, convenient and absolutely adorable alternative to traditional baby baths. This week, for instance, we were totally flattered to read a great review for Blooming Bath at the Real Mom Reviews blog.

"Bath time in our house is a scream, and not a happy scream," wrote mom-of-six Skye Moyer, whose infant, Emmitt, wasn't always the biggest fan of bath time. "Emmitt can’t sit up on his own so taking a normal bath is kind of out of the question. We tried giving Emmitt a bath in the kitchen sink a few weeks ago but warm water + soap = a super slippery baby. Emmitt ended up nose diving into the sink faucet and he was not a happy camper."

    Enter Blooming Bath.

"I put Emmitt in the Blooming Bath in the kitchen sink and give him his breakfast pouch of food. He makes a mess eats it while I unload the dishwasher and start breakfast. He gets clean, while I am cleaning — so we both win."

    How cool is that?

Of course we're glad to see Blooming Bath getting the sort of praise that we've always thought it deserves. And insomuch as that might help us sell a few of these cuddly little flowers... well, of course that's great, too.

But really, truly and honestly: The best thing about reading these sorts of reviews is realizing that Blooming Bath is helping parents be parents — making baby bath time just a little bit easier for everyone.

  • BloomingBath makes a great first impression

    It never fails.

The “ooh.” The “ahh.” The “oh-my-gosh-that’s-so-cute.”

I love seeing the way people respond the first time they see BloomingBath.

Out for a bite to eat with my daughter, today, I saw two moms sitting with their new babies. I wandered over, introduced myself and asked them if I might show them a new baby product.

“Sure,” said the first mom, who introduced herself as Joni.

I whipped out my laptop, flipped open the screen and pointed my browser to

    And then…

    … wait for it …

    … “oooh!”

“Oh my gosh it’s sooooo cute!”

    Yup. It never fails.

“That’s such a great idea for a baby bath,” Joni said. “I like to wash my baby in the sink, but I don’t like the thought of all the chemicals I use to clean up the sink getting on their skin.”

Joni said she had several baby bath tubs but didn’t really like any of them.

    ‘This seems perfect,” she said.

Her friend, Niki, asked the question we hear most often from everyone as they learn about BloomingBath: “How does it dry?”

“You just stick it in the drier for a few minutes — that’s all there is to it,” I said.

"It's really, really cute," she said.

    Yes indeed. It never fails.

A few more sample comments, I can't resist.

This looks like a much better way to bathe baby than getting down on your hands and knees beside the bathtub so you can put baby in their plastic bath. So cute!

This is so adorable! Since learning I am expecting again after thinking we were done, I am finding such beautiful items for babies out there. This is a wonderful substitute for those hard plastic tub styles!

This is the most adorable baby bath i’ve ever seen! And i’m crossing my fingers on this one!!!

Too cute! I would love one of these- I like the concept and it looks so much more comfortable than the Puj tub!

Pregnant and totally want one of these. I had given up on any baby bath being worth having. But this looks awesome.
